Sophie Snapshots privacy, acceptable use & photo-hosting terms

Private event-photo service
Sophie Snapshots hosts galleries created for specific events. Galleries are not publicly listed or indexed. Access is controlled by a unique gallery code; anyone who has that code may be able to view its photos, so keep it private.
Acceptable use
You may view and download photos from a gallery only if you are a photographed participant, that participant’s parent or legal guardian, or are otherwise authorized by the organizer. Photos are for personal, non-commercial use. Do not share a gallery code, sell photos, scrape or bulk-copy the service, bypass access controls, or post or distribute photos showing another family or child without the appropriate permission. We may suspend access or remove content where we reasonably believe these terms or someone’s rights have been violated.
Privacy and security
We store event photos, gallery codes, optional contact email addresses, and limited download/view records to operate the service. Photos are stored in private storage and delivered through time-limited links. We do not use advertising pixels, public gallery browsing, or third-party analytics on gallery pages. No technical system is perfectly secure; please contact us promptly if you believe a gallery code or image has been exposed.
Retention and deletion
Photos are intended to remain available only until the event gallery’s displayed expiration date, then be deleted from active storage and the service’s records through our scheduled cleanup process. An organizer may remove a gallery sooner when needed.
Organizer responsibilities and permissions
The event organizer is responsible for obtaining any necessary photography permissions and for deciding which images are placed in a gallery. A parent or legal guardian may ask the organizer or us to review removal of an image involving their child. This service is not directed at children as users; parents and guardians should access galleries on their behalf.
Service disclaimer
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent preservation, or that every photo will be available before expiry. To the extent allowed by law, Sophie Snapshots and the organizer disclaim warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service.
